Maybelline FIT ME “Matte and Poreless”Foundation Review

Hello, hello!

Two words…. HOLY GRAIL, yup that’s right I have found my new holy grail foundation and its a matte foundation?! What…. Crazy, I know!

If you have been following my blog for a while you would know I LOVE dewy foundation and I would never usually pick up a matte foundation but on this rare occasion I did and I am so glad!

Maybelline Fit Me foundation – Matte and Poreless

The foundation claims it is;

Beyond matching skin tone, it fits your skin’s texture.

  • Normal to oily skin.
  • Erasing pores.
  • Mattefying shine.

This foundation is amazing and I have been using it nearly every single day since I purchased the product!  It applies perfectly with my Chi Chi Cosmetics blending sponge, my Zoeva 102/ Silk Finish brush or my Sigma Duo Fibre brush. I use 2-3 drops of product to completely cover my face and give me a full, flawless coverage without looking cakey!

I have quite normal skin which does get a little oily over time so the foundation works well for me but I cant see this foundation working for people with dry skin as it has be known to cling to dry patches!

I apply my foundation 7:00am every morning and take my makeup off around 7:00pm at night – And the foundation wears almost perfectly for the entire 12 hours. I usually touch up a little after lunch time with my blending sponge just around my mouth, nose and hairline which isn’t absolutely necessary, I just like to!

The foundation also comes in a great colour range, I use the colour natural beige 220 and it matches my fake tan perfectly!  Retailing for $18.95 its also an affordable product. I purchased mine from Priceline but you are able to pick it up at Woolworths and Coles also.

I would 100% recommend trying this foundation out if you are after a new matte foundation or just wanting a change!  I am definitely going to be repurchasing  🙂

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish – Soft and Gentle review

I have been so in love with my highlighter; Mary-Lou Manizer by The balm for the longest time that I never cared to try any other highlighter…   But with great sadness I hit pan on the Mary-Lou Manizer 😦

So I decided it was time for me to venture out and try a new highlighter,  I picked up MAC mineralize skin finish in soft and gentle as I had heard some good things about the product.

I am one of those girls who LOVES themselves a good highlight and do go a little over the top sometimes and end up looking like a disco ball…. oops hehe.

I love the packaging of MAC products – Black with silver writing.  I think its simple yet sophisticated.  I also love the window compact so you are able to see the gorgeous highlighter.

It cost me $47 and contains 10g of product 🙂

When I first swatched the highlighter I knew it was the beginning of a beautiful friendship 😉 haha.  The product is extremely pigmented so a little goes a long way!

The colour is described as a “gilded peach bronze” and is a warm tone.  There is also a champagne colour mixed through.  The highlighter comes off as a frosted sheen on the skin (super stunning).

This highlighter gives your skin such a healthy glow and really does look amazing on, just make sure to apply with a light hand as I mentioned before its extremely pigmented! It also goes with any makeup look you create and is suited for all skin tones.

I cant believe I didn’t have this product in my collection until now?! I am sorry to say Mary-Lou but you have been replaced… My new holy grail highlighter is now Mac mineralize skin finish; soft and gentle.

If you don’t already own this highlighter then girl you are missing out! Get onto it now 🙂

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed this post.

Rimmel lasting finish 25 Hour Foundation review!

Hey babes!

Today I will be reviewing for you Rimmel London lasting finish 25 Hour Foundation with comfort serum.

  The foundation claims:

-Instant perfect coverage that feels extra comfortable and lasts all day

– Blends flawlessly, seamlessly, instantly and easily into the skin

– Sweat, heat, humidity and transfer proof for up to 25 hours

I have been trying this foundation now for over a weak so I could test out all of these claims and give you the best possible review of the foundation.  I purchased the foundation from my local Woolworths when they had there 1/2 price sale on all Rimmel London products, I ended up paying around $9 (bargain).

I applied the foundation with my Real Techniques buffing brush and my Chi Chi Cosmetics Make-Up blending sponge and both of them apply the foundation effortless and perfectly. They are right when they say the foundation blends flawlessly, seamlessly, instantly and easily into the skin! The foundation is full coverage so I prefer using the foundation sponge as it gives you a more natural and glowing look, but you get a better coverage using the buffing brush so it is personal preference which tool you use.

It claims it will last 25 hours but lets be honest who will be wearing foundation for 25 hours?!  Not me that’s for sure!! I apply my foundation for work at 7.30am in the morning and don’t shower and take it off until at least 7.30pm at night.  So I need a foundation that will last at least 12 hours….     I have to touch up this foundation up around lunchtime with a bit of powder just around my nose as it goes a little oily but I get that with most foundations. Apart from that when I get home from work the foundation is still looking flawless and hasn’t gone patchy, or slipped of my face. (I have normal-oily skin by the way) so I am incredibly impressed.

I went for a long walk to test if it its sweat proof and sadly it did move a little on my forehead nothing too noticeable though.. but everywhere else still looked perfect! The foundation does transfer a little as well.  I was unable to test if it was humidity proof because I live in Tasmania and it has been frezzing!! 😛

Overall I am extremely impressed with this foundation… It is defiantly in my top 3 favorite foundations! It is extremely affordable, gives amazing coverage while still looking natural and healthy.  The lasting power defiantly impressed me as well. I would recommend this foundation!

Hello I’m roar – coffee & coconut scrub review 💖

Hello beautiful people!

I hope you are all well and have had a good week ☺️

This week I have tried the Hello I’m roar coffee and coconut scrub a few times and I’m here to give you my review.

Hello I’m roar are a new company and I found them on Instagram and loved the sound of their scrub so decided I would spend the $14.95 and give it a try. (I’m a sucker for coffee scrubs) 🙊

The scrub is natural, organic, vegan and cruelty free. They claim it is known to help reduce the appearance of cellulite, eczema, stretch marks, age spots, varicose veins, psoriars and acne!  – (I will update you if it reduces the appearance of stretch marks)

Directions for use : Grab a handful or two massaging in circular motions over your wet body while in the bath or shower.  Leave on for at least 10 minutes before rinsing off.

(Warning it can get a little messy)

I’m in love with this product – It makes my skin feel super soft and smooth and preps me for my fake tan perfectly.  It smells amazing and I’m in love with the fact it has certified organic coconut oil as one of the main ingredients.  After I use this my skin is radiant.. It literally has the healthiest glow to it!

I got my boyfriend to try it out as well and he was pleasantly surprised!  He said he would use it again so it must be a winner haha.

I will defiantly repurchase this product and would recommend for others to purchase it.

overall I rate it a 9/10.

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed! 💖

BYS Nude 2 palette review!

Hey all my beautiful readers 😍

The other day I was waiting for my bus and I wandered into a small cosmetic store “just for a look” 😉 haha and I found the BYS Nude 2 palette …

My first thought was wow that looks so similar to the Urban Decay naked 2 palette!  I don’t own any urban decay naked palettes but I have seen them online a lot! I am unable to compare the two palettes for this reason.

This palette was only $14.95 such a bargain considering it looks amazing and has a great range of colors, 4 matte and 8 shimmer shades.

Guest List, Morning, Selfie, Flirt, VIP, Photo Op, Shots, Smoke Machine, D Floor, Pick up, Heels Off and Midnight.

The pigmentation is insane for such a cheap product-  although the two lighter shades are a little chalky they still look good on! The rest of the colors are creamy and blend so easily, I had a little fall out when applying so I would recommend doing your eyes first!  The longevity of the eye shadows is pretty standard I would say, it did last me all day but towards the end the colors had a less pigmented look and looked a bit washed out if that makes sense haha.  I would recommend using an eyes shadow primer.

I would rate this product 7/10   –  The shadows are good quality for the price and if all you want is a no fuss neutrals palette with a lot of shimmery shades then the BYS palette will easily do the job and not brake the bank.

Thank you for reading my post and i hope you enjoyed!  ❤

Chi Chi Cosmetics haul and review ☺️

Hey hey everyone!  I hope you have all been well and have had a good week ❤️

Chi Chi Cosmetics products are ahhhh-mazing and are reasonably priced.  My collection keeps growing and I’m loving it haha!

They are an Australian brand but they ship worldwide on their website! I totally recommend checking their products out –

Super CC cream – medium $29.95

This product has amazing coverage for a CC cream, I have been using it for my foundation all week and I honestly cannot fault it. The texture is quite thick but it blends perfectly with a buffing brush or a blending sponge!  The finish is gives is medium coverage but still keeping your skin looking as natural as possible. The product contains 30 essential skin condition agents and an SPF of 30!  Chi Chi refer to this product as “make-up meets skincare” I rate this a 9/10

Mosaic bronzer – dark $19.95

The packaging of this product is incredible, I absolutely love it! It is all mirrored on the outside and inside. The product it’s self was not what I’m used to as its a little too pink for my ideal bronze colour but still looks amazing ( I’m just fussy haha )  the pigmentation I would say is medium but defiently build able.  I rate this product a 7/10

Viva la diva cream lipstick – paparazzi princess $18.95

Stay on lip liner – totally nude $9.95

Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god! I have found my new holy grail nude lipstick .. Seriously incredible!! Super creamy and moisturising, pigmentation is amazing and paired with the totally nude liner .. Ahh match made in heaven ❤️  The packaging is so cute too as you can see!  I rate this product 10/10 easily!

Make up blending sponge  $5.95

I can’t justify paying $20+ on a make up sponge… This one is $5.95 and does the job perfectly! I use it every day, literally! I carry it in my handbag everywhere I go and just blot my face with it instead of powdering and it keeps my face looking perfect and not cakey at all.  This sponge comes in 4 different colours and shapes as well – pink (hourglass shape with pointed end), aqua (traditional shape with pointed end), yellow (traditional shape with slanted end) and orange (hourglass shape with slanted flat top).  I rate this product 8/10

(Of course you use blending sponge damp)

The pictures above are of me wearing all the products so you can have more of an idea of the finish and look they give on my skin.

I hope you have enjoyed this post and don’t forget to head over to my Instagram for more posts and updates ❤️

Australis contouring and highlighting kit – first impression!

Hey babes! ❤️

I was super stoked to try out the Australis ac on tour contouring and highlighting kit.

And…. Finally this weekend I did!

Firstly I think it looks great! Especially considering the price, I picked it up for $13.95 at my local Priceline pharmacy  (bargain).

Pigmentation is amazing for such a cheap product you only need to use the smallest amount when applying. Although the product is a little chalky and can be difficult to blend (especially the darker shades) .

You really need to be light handed when applying this – because it can quickly give you a muddy/dirty contour.

Overall I would rate this product a 5/10. A great product and extremely affordable but to be honest it did let me down a little (only because I had high expectations).

If you have tried this product let me know your thoughts and if you are planning on trying it let me know how you go!
