Maybelline Colour Tattoo Pure Pigments Review + Swatches

Maybelline are probably my favourite “Drug Store” brand, they have top quality products for an affordable amount!   Today I am reviewing their Colour Tattoo Pure Pigments; I know they have been out for a very longtime but I only just picked them up!

I picked up the colours: Breaking Bronze, Barley Brazen and Buff & Tuff. I only paid around $5 each for them, such a bargain. Seeings as these were the first eyeshadow pigments to be added to my makeup collection I went for very wearable colours, I am a sucker for bronze and nude colours!  They have 1.5G of product, which will last you a very long time as you don’t need to apply much of the product as the colour pay off is amazing.

To apply the pigments you can use your finger or a flat shader brush; you can also apply wet for a more pigmented metallic look, perfect for a special occasion.  Maybelline claim these eyeshadow pigments last up to 24hrs; Crazy!  I can confidently say they lasted for over 12 hours on myself without being touched up and without using a primer. So huge plus for longevity 🙂

I swatched the colours both dry and wet to show you the comparison.

Breaking Bronze LEFT: Applied wet with Mac Fix+  RIGHT: Applied with finger

Breaking Bronze is my favourite and you can see why! The colour payoff is unreal both dry and wet, its my new holy grail bronze eyeshadow. Definitely recommend picking this one up.

Barley Brazen LEFT: Applied wet with Mac Fix+ RIGHT: Applied with finger

Barley Brazen isn’t as pigmented when applied dry but is good for everyday wear. When applied wet the colour is completely changed, it turns into a dark taupe with gold reflects.

Buff & Tuff LEFT; Applied wet with Mac Fix+ RIGHT: Applied with finger

Buff & Tuff is so pretty!  A perfect pinky/gold champange colour, I wear this one the most out of all of the colours as its very versatile and perfect for work.

I can’t believe the quality of these pigments for the price, the texture is so creamy and they apply very evenly and can be built up for a more dramatic look.  As you can see from my swatches they are very shimmery, perfect for everyday wear and also perfect for more of a glam look.

I definitely recommend checking out these products; They are budget friendly and are top quality.  I will be investing in some more for my collection!

Thank you so much for reading don’t forget to follow for my posts and updates 🙂

Becca Cosmetics + Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop Review

I am back with yet another highlighter review…  What can I say, my obsession just keeps growing.   If you are also obsessed with highlighter than you are most definitely reading the right blog hehe, make sure to subscribe!

Anyway into my review!  As you can tell by the heading I will be reviewing Becca Cosmetics and Jaclyn Hills Champagne Pop Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed (highlighter).  Jaclyn collaborated with Becca Cosmetics a few months back to create Champagne Pop.  For all of you who don’t know Jaclyn Hill; 1. What are you doing with your lives?! and 2. She is a globally known youtube beauty guru who is amazing! You need to check her out 🙂

The highlighter comes in a compact case with a mirror on the inside (perfect for applying highlighter on the go), the packaging is the same as all of Becca Cosmetics shimmering Skin Perfector. As the name describes it is a champagne colour and it also has hints of gold, with a warm undertone and frosted sheen.

The highlighter is a creamy, buttery, smooth powder and applies like a dream. The colour pay off is incredible, you only need the tiniest amount and your highlighter is popin’! It’s not a highlighter for those who like their highlight subtle, as it is very bright and reflective unless you use a very light hand.  Becca Cosmetics describes the formula of highlighter as being enriched with ultrafine luminescent pearls that absorb, reflect, and refract light so your natural radiance is never lost and I 100% agree.

This is one application of the highlighter and and I am in love with the result, It makes your skin glow.

You can purchase Champagne Pop from Sephora Aus and it RRP $60. I know it is a little expensive but I promise you it is worth the price. This highlighter definitely takes the highlighting game to a whole new level… I can not get enough of this product!  I am about to purchase more of the Becca Cosmetics highlighters because I am that impressed with the quality and application of the product.
I hope you have enjoyed this post, thanks so much for reading

Maybelline FIT ME “Matte and Poreless”Foundation Review

Hello, hello!

Two words…. HOLY GRAIL, yup that’s right I have found my new holy grail foundation and its a matte foundation?! What…. Crazy, I know!

If you have been following my blog for a while you would know I LOVE dewy foundation and I would never usually pick up a matte foundation but on this rare occasion I did and I am so glad!

Maybelline Fit Me foundation – Matte and Poreless

The foundation claims it is;

Beyond matching skin tone, it fits your skin’s texture.

WHAT IT’S BEST FOR
  • Normal to oily skin.
  • Erasing pores.
  • Mattefying shine.

This foundation is amazing and I have been using it nearly every single day since I purchased the product!  It applies perfectly with my Chi Chi Cosmetics blending sponge, my Zoeva 102/ Silk Finish brush or my Sigma Duo Fibre brush. I use 2-3 drops of product to completely cover my face and give me a full, flawless coverage without looking cakey!

I have quite normal skin which does get a little oily over time so the foundation works well for me but I cant see this foundation working for people with dry skin as it has be known to cling to dry patches!

I apply my foundation 7:00am every morning and take my makeup off around 7:00pm at night – And the foundation wears almost perfectly for the entire 12 hours. I usually touch up a little after lunch time with my blending sponge just around my mouth, nose and hairline which isn’t absolutely necessary, I just like to!

The foundation also comes in a great colour range, I use the colour natural beige 220 and it matches my fake tan perfectly!  Retailing for $18.95 its also an affordable product. I purchased mine from Priceline but you are able to pick it up at Woolworths and Coles also.

I would 100% recommend trying this foundation out if you are after a new matte foundation or just wanting a change!  I am definitely going to be repurchasing  🙂

Rimmel “wake me up” concealer review

Hey darlings!  I hope you have all had an amazing week 💖

Today I am going to review Rimell “wake me up” concelear.

I picked this concelear up last week at Pricelines 50% off Rimmel sale, I ended up only paying around $7-8!

The product claims its a full coverage concelear that visibly reawakens and illuminates under the eyes.  Completely conceals spots and other blemishes.

This is my new holy grail concelear!!

I am in LOVE with it…. It’s super creamy and does not crease at all. I wouldn’t say it’s completely full coverage probably a medium-full coverage.

I don’t need a full coverage concelear so it works perfectly for me but if that’s what you are after you probably wouldn’t like this product.

The concelear does an amazing job at making me look awake and it definitely gives me a radiant glow. I don’t just use it under my eyes I also highlight the rest of my face with it.

consitency of concelear

I either use my Chi Chi Cosmetics makeup sponge or my Zoeva concelear buffing brush to apply and blend the concealer.

I use my concelear brush from Sigma to clean up my brows with this concelear.

Overall this is a great concelear and I’m happy I bought it and will 100% repurchase . I definitely would reccomend this product to anyone looking for a new affordable concelear – it compares to Maybelline “Fit me” concealer but in my opinion makes you look a lot more awake and glowing.

Thanks so much for reading!

Super easy brown smokey eye! // Using the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette

Hey lovelies!

Today I am here to share with you a super easy dark brown smokey eye which only takes a few minutes to achieve, so it is perfect if you are running late and perfect for beginners!

All eye shadow colours used are from my Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette

The trick with this look is to blend…  and when you think you have finished blending, blend again!  The more you blend the more smokey it will look.

Start of by priming your lids –  Any primer is fine.  I used my Lorac Behind The Scenes Primer.

Then apply a natural skin colour all over your base to set your primer, I used White Chocolate.  You can even use your face powder for this!

I then use the colour Salted Caramel and blend it through my crease as my transition shade.

Grabbing the darkest brown in the palette Triple Fudge I pack this colour onto my lid but making sure not to go above the crease!  I blend this colour out with the transition shade Salted Caramel – Remember what I said before blend, blend and blend!  I then continue to reapply the darker colour until I achieve the desired colour and pigment.

I take a slightly lighter brown colour Semi Sweet and blend it below the colour Salted Caramel to make the transition not as harsh and more blended.

I then highlight my brown bone with the colour White chocolate.

To finish of the eye shadow I take the darkest brown colour on a tapered brush and apply it to my lower lash line, I then blend this out with the colour Semi Sweet to make it more smokey.

Line you lower lash line and upper waterline with any dark black pencil, I also chose to apply eyeliner on my upper lash line and do a small wing but that is personal preference!

Apply your favourtie mascara or lashes and the look is complete!

Super easy and I think it looks amazing.

Thank you for reading and don’t forget to head over to my Instagram for more posts and updates ♥

ZOEVA Rose Golden Luxury Brush Set Review

Hi Lovely people,

Today I am here to review the ZOEVA Rose Golden Luxury brush set. If you follow me on my  Instagram you would have seen I received this amazing brush set recently and I have been testing the brushes out every day since then.

And my god I am in love with them, they are defiantly my new holy grail brushes.  They are just as good as my Sigma brushes! Saying that though I have had my Sigma brushes for almost a year and they are still perfect, so I am keen to see what the longevity of the ZOEVA brushes is like.

The Rose Golden Luxury brush set RRP  $65 Euro ($95.50 AUD)

In the Rose Golden Luxury set you get:

Face:
106 Powder: Apply loose and pressed powder

This brush has quickly become my favorite powder brush which I use daily, it applies the perfect amount of powder on your face and is so soft!
102 Silk Finish: Apply and blend foundation

I normally HATE applying foundation with a brush and always use my ChiChi Cosmetics blending sponge, but this buffing brush is heaven to apply foundation with! Blends the foundation in seamlessly and flawlessly straight away. No brush streaks or lines, just perfect!!

110 Face Shape: Contour the face shape with cream and powder products

I haven’t used this brush to contour, instead I use it to apply the my eye shadow base, it works perfectly with powder and cream!

127 Luxe Sheer Cheek: Apply powder blush

I use this brush to contour with, it gives you the most natural contour and is perfect for every day use!!  The brush is so soft and blends product flawlessly.

142 Concealer Buffer: Apply and blend concealer

I am not 100% sold on this brush as of yet. I am just so in love with blending my concealer with my blending sponge!!  It is a great quality, dense brush and does the job perfectly but just takes a little longer than the sponge to blend the concealer.

Eyes:
227 Luxe Soft Definer: Softly blend and smooth eyeshadow

This brush is amazing!  It applies eye shadow into my crease and blends out perfectly! It keeps the colour pigmented but perfectly blended. It very similar to my sigma E35 tapered blending.

231 Luxe Petit Crease: Accentuating and blending in the crease

I looooove this brush!  It has such precise placement of product but then smudges and blends out perfectly!

317 Wing Liner: Detailed eyeliner strokes and a perfect wing

This is just your basic winged eyeliner brush, it helps you create the perfect wing very quickly. It is not one of my favorite eyeliner brushes I own as it does take a little longer as the brush isn’t as firm and precise as other brushes.

(L-R) : 106 Powder, 102 Silk Finish, 110 Face Shaper, 142 Concealer Buffer, 317 Wing Liner, 127 Lux Sheer Cheek, 227 Luxe Soft Definer, 231 Luxe Petit Crease:

Firstly everyone can agree how stunning the brushes look keeping it simple but glamorous with black and rose gold. The brushes came perfectly packed in a sleek clutch with rose gold accents.

The brushes are hand crafted and made with high quality natural hair and synthetic taklon bristles, so they can be used with cream and powder based products.

I have not had any shedding at all from these brushes which I am extremely happy with!  ZOEVA Cosmetics have definitely won me over and I am eager to try some more of their products and brushes.  If you have been considering buying some of their brushes don’t wait any longer, they are worth every cent!

You can purchase them from the ZOEVA website and they ship to most countries but if you need shipping to another country which isn’t available, you are able to send them an email with the article name, quantity and delivery address including the country and the zip code.  They will then inform you whether they can ship to the desired country and the estimated shipping charges, which is great customer service!
