RCMA VK#11 Shinto Foundation palette review

Hello lovely people!

Today I am going to talk about the most versatile product in my makeup kit..  My RCMA VK#11 Shinto Foundation palette. I cant rave about this product enough, I use it on myself and also on 90% of my clients. Having 18 shades it is perfect for my freelance kit as I can mix the shades to always have the perfect colour for my client.  RCMA foundation is considered the top choice for professionals everywhere and a staple in MUA’s kits.

Why I love the product:

  • Can be used for foundation, cream contouring & highlighting and concealing
  • Made with a 50% pigment ratio to waxes and oils for high coverage with little product
  • Contains only vegetable oils, pure waxes and FDA approved colors
  • No perfumes or lanolin (allergens)
  • Applies like a second skin, rather than a heavy coat of foundation
  • Long lasting coverage with little-to-no touch-up
  • No caking or separating

I know the product can be a little overwhelming at first glance but trust me it is super easy to use. I scrap out a tiny amount onto either my metal mixing palette or my hand and I warm the product up by mixing it. I prefer to apply the foundation with a damp beauty sponge as I find it blends the product out the best. As mentioned above you don’t need much of the product to achieve a full coverage, if you are wanting a light coverage you can mix a little bit of moisturiser in with the foundation and apply it as you would normally.

This foundation honestly looks amazing and so natural on everyones skin from young girls to mature age and blends out so easily. The product can also be layered up as well without looking to heavy on the skin!

Below are pictures of how I cream contour and highlight with the product and the result it gives me. I apply the cream contour and hightlight ontop of a thin coat of foundation from the palette and it blends out super easy and doesn’t cake up at all.

This particular foundation palette RRP $99.14 and is 100% worth the money.

RCMA have a large range of products available they also sell 60+ individual shades of their foundation, 5 part series foundation palettes, highlight and contouring palette and loose powders.

I definitely recommend checking out their products and trying their foundation. I have just made a large order for more of the products for myself and for my kit.

I purchase all my RCMA products from Camera Ready Cosmetics as they were the cheapest and had the largest range available.

I hope you have enjoyed this post, thank you for reading!

Maybelline FIT ME “Matte and Poreless”Foundation Review

Hello, hello!

Two words…. HOLY GRAIL, yup that’s right I have found my new holy grail foundation and its a matte foundation?! What…. Crazy, I know!

If you have been following my blog for a while you would know I LOVE dewy foundation and I would never usually pick up a matte foundation but on this rare occasion I did and I am so glad!

Maybelline Fit Me foundation – Matte and Poreless

The foundation claims it is;

Beyond matching skin tone, it fits your skin’s texture.

WHAT IT’S BEST FOR
  • Normal to oily skin.
  • Erasing pores.
  • Mattefying shine.

This foundation is amazing and I have been using it nearly every single day since I purchased the product!  It applies perfectly with my Chi Chi Cosmetics blending sponge, my Zoeva 102/ Silk Finish brush or my Sigma Duo Fibre brush. I use 2-3 drops of product to completely cover my face and give me a full, flawless coverage without looking cakey!

I have quite normal skin which does get a little oily over time so the foundation works well for me but I cant see this foundation working for people with dry skin as it has be known to cling to dry patches!

I apply my foundation 7:00am every morning and take my makeup off around 7:00pm at night – And the foundation wears almost perfectly for the entire 12 hours. I usually touch up a little after lunch time with my blending sponge just around my mouth, nose and hairline which isn’t absolutely necessary, I just like to!

The foundation also comes in a great colour range, I use the colour natural beige 220 and it matches my fake tan perfectly!  Retailing for $18.95 its also an affordable product. I purchased mine from Priceline but you are able to pick it up at Woolworths and Coles also.

I would 100% recommend trying this foundation out if you are after a new matte foundation or just wanting a change!  I am definitely going to be repurchasing  🙂
