My Lash Elevate Experience + Before and After Pictures

I was first introduced to the “Lash Elevate” treatment when watching famous Australian YouTuber Chloe Morello.  After seeing her results I knew I had to give it a try!

Basically this treatment defines and lifts your lashes so that they sit upwards towards the brow line in order to open up your eyes. This treatment is a good alternative to lash extensions and causes zero damage to your lashes whilst having no maintenance.

I went to Vogue Beauty Clinic in Launceston for my treatment. They were amazing, they made me feel incredibly comfortable as soon as I walked through the doors. During my treatment my beautician spoke to me the entire time explaining what she was doing as she completed each step which I loved! As far as I know they are the only ones who offer this treatment in Launceston at this time.

The Lash Elevate Treatment consists of four stages:

1. Lifting solution
2. Setting
3. Lash tint
4. Lash conditioner

Expect results to last 4-6 weeks.

During my treatment.

The treatment feels a little strange but definitely not painful or uncomfortable, It takes around 45 minutes and the cost of the treatment is $69.

Both photos I am wearing no mascara or eye makeup.

I am over the moon with the results!  As you can see in my photos it has made quite a big difference.  It has made me feel comfortable enough to leave the house without my lashes being coated in mascara!

I would 100% recommend this treatment, I think it would be amazing in the warmer months as well when you are not wanting to wear eye makeup.

L.A Girl Pro Conceal; Review and Swatches!

I finally got my hands on some L.A Girl concealers. They have been at the top of my wish list for such a long time! They are extremely affordable and I purchased mine from an Australian website for $7.95 each, but you can by them from websites outside of Australia for around $5.

L-R Classic Ivory, Natural, Creamy Beige, Almond and Expresso

I picked up the colours:

  • Classic Ivory – Light with pink undertones
  • Natural – Light with neutral undertones
  • Creamy Beige-  Light with yellow undertones
  • Almond – Tan with warm undertones
  • Expresso – Dark with cool undertones

The look of these products is quite basic but I like it. The concealers come with a brush applicator which I am not a huge fan of, I prefer to squeeze some product out on my mixing palette and then apply to my face with a brush so I have more control of how much product is used. Like usual I blend out the concealer with a damp blending sponge which makes it flawless!

The consistency of the concealer is thick and is completely full coverage.  The concealers cover any imperfection you have and works well to cover redness/darkness under your eyes. These concealers are also amazing to cream contour and highlight with and are also super easy to blend out.

L-R : Classic Ivory, Natural, Creamy Beige, Almond and Expresso

I haven’t experienced any creasing with these products and they have great longevity!

I would definitely recommend trying these concealers if you are after a full coverage concealer or if you are looking for some affordable products to cream contour and highlight with.

Please note If you are not a fan of full coverage concealers then these wouldn’t be for you.

Let me know if you have tried these concealers and what your thoughts are in the comments 🙂

Maybelline FIT ME “Matte and Poreless”Foundation Review

Hello, hello!

Two words…. HOLY GRAIL, yup that’s right I have found my new holy grail foundation and its a matte foundation?! What…. Crazy, I know!

If you have been following my blog for a while you would know I LOVE dewy foundation and I would never usually pick up a matte foundation but on this rare occasion I did and I am so glad!

Maybelline Fit Me foundation – Matte and Poreless

The foundation claims it is;

Beyond matching skin tone, it fits your skin’s texture.

WHAT IT’S BEST FOR
  • Normal to oily skin.
  • Erasing pores.
  • Mattefying shine.

This foundation is amazing and I have been using it nearly every single day since I purchased the product!  It applies perfectly with my Chi Chi Cosmetics blending sponge, my Zoeva 102/ Silk Finish brush or my Sigma Duo Fibre brush. I use 2-3 drops of product to completely cover my face and give me a full, flawless coverage without looking cakey!

I have quite normal skin which does get a little oily over time so the foundation works well for me but I cant see this foundation working for people with dry skin as it has be known to cling to dry patches!

I apply my foundation 7:00am every morning and take my makeup off around 7:00pm at night – And the foundation wears almost perfectly for the entire 12 hours. I usually touch up a little after lunch time with my blending sponge just around my mouth, nose and hairline which isn’t absolutely necessary, I just like to!

The foundation also comes in a great colour range, I use the colour natural beige 220 and it matches my fake tan perfectly!  Retailing for $18.95 its also an affordable product. I purchased mine from Priceline but you are able to pick it up at Woolworths and Coles also.

I would 100% recommend trying this foundation out if you are after a new matte foundation or just wanting a change!  I am definitely going to be repurchasing  🙂

The must have contouring and highlighting product for all beginners!

New to contouring and not 100% sure how it is done? Well fear no more… As Designer Brands have released a super affordable, easy to use and versatile contouring kit.

Shades L-R ; Banana (highlighting), Dark Brown (contouring) , Shimmer (illuminating)

Costing only $9.99 and containing 3 colours it is ideal for anyone from beginner to expert. It also comes with instructions on the back!

I will talk to you step by step about how to use this palette and how to contour and highlight in general;

Banana highlighting Shade – Set under eye concealer to brighten your complexion. Also apply to the forehead, bridge of nose and brown bone.

Dark Brown Contouring Shade – To add dimension to your face – You apply this to where you naturally would have shadows and to where you want to slim down your features.  Under your cheek bones, down the sides of your nose, to your temples and under your chin.  please note you do not have to contour all these places, just where ever you desire!

Illuminating shade –  You use this shade to illuminate your face and bring a glow to it. Apply it on the tops of your cheekbones, down the bridge of your nose and your cupids bow.  I also apply it very sparingly to my chin and also my forehead but that is personal preference.

Now you know how to use it I will talk to you a little more about the quality of the product. The shadows aren’t extremely pigmented which is what I like when contouring as you can always add more makeup but it is very difficult to take it away once applied without ruining the whole face of makeup. The shades are very build able though which is great!

The banana shade does an excellent job at brightening under my eyes and setting my concelar all day without creasing – So a huge plus there!  The texture of the powder is also very nice and settles on the skin looking natural.

The contouring shade is a great universal shade which is perfect for chiselling out your cheekbones.  It is quite a creamy, velvety powder!

The illuminating shade is a beautiful shimmery highlight – It isn’t as pigmented as I like my illuminators but it can defiantly be built up. I need to apply it around 2-3 times to get my desired look. The powder is fine texture and isn’t too chunky as you get with some highlighting powders.

I would 100% recommend you purchase this product as like I mentioned before it is only $9.99 and does an amazing job!!  Even better than some of my high ends products I have used.  It is a small and compact kit which is easy to take with you in a makeup bag when travelling, it also has a large mirror in it which I love!

This little beauty has earned its self a place in my freelancing kit, that is how much I am impressed by it.

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish – Soft and Gentle review

I have been so in love with my highlighter; Mary-Lou Manizer by The balm for the longest time that I never cared to try any other highlighter…   But with great sadness I hit pan on the Mary-Lou Manizer 😦

So I decided it was time for me to venture out and try a new highlighter,  I picked up MAC mineralize skin finish in soft and gentle as I had heard some good things about the product.

I am one of those girls who LOVES themselves a good highlight and do go a little over the top sometimes and end up looking like a disco ball…. oops hehe.

I love the packaging of MAC products – Black with silver writing.  I think its simple yet sophisticated.  I also love the window compact so you are able to see the gorgeous highlighter.

It cost me $47 and contains 10g of product 🙂

When I first swatched the highlighter I knew it was the beginning of a beautiful friendship 😉 haha.  The product is extremely pigmented so a little goes a long way!

The colour is described as a “gilded peach bronze” and is a warm tone.  There is also a champagne colour mixed through.  The highlighter comes off as a frosted sheen on the skin (super stunning).

This highlighter gives your skin such a healthy glow and really does look amazing on, just make sure to apply with a light hand as I mentioned before its extremely pigmented! It also goes with any makeup look you create and is suited for all skin tones.

I cant believe I didn’t have this product in my collection until now?! I am sorry to say Mary-Lou but you have been replaced… My new holy grail highlighter is now Mac mineralize skin finish; soft and gentle.

If you don’t already own this highlighter then girl you are missing out! Get onto it now 🙂

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed this post.

Rimmel “wake me up” concealer review

Hey darlings!  I hope you have all had an amazing week 💖

Today I am going to review Rimell “wake me up” concelear.

I picked this concelear up last week at Pricelines 50% off Rimmel sale, I ended up only paying around $7-8!

The product claims its a full coverage concelear that visibly reawakens and illuminates under the eyes.  Completely conceals spots and other blemishes.

This is my new holy grail concelear!!

I am in LOVE with it…. It’s super creamy and does not crease at all. I wouldn’t say it’s completely full coverage probably a medium-full coverage.

I don’t need a full coverage concelear so it works perfectly for me but if that’s what you are after you probably wouldn’t like this product.

The concelear does an amazing job at making me look awake and it definitely gives me a radiant glow. I don’t just use it under my eyes I also highlight the rest of my face with it.

consitency of concelear

I either use my Chi Chi Cosmetics makeup sponge or my Zoeva concelear buffing brush to apply and blend the concealer.

I use my concelear brush from Sigma to clean up my brows with this concelear.

Overall this is a great concelear and I’m happy I bought it and will 100% repurchase . I definitely would reccomend this product to anyone looking for a new affordable concelear – it compares to Maybelline “Fit me” concealer but in my opinion makes you look a lot more awake and glowing.

Thanks so much for reading!

Super easy brown smokey eye! // Using the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette

Hey lovelies!

Today I am here to share with you a super easy dark brown smokey eye which only takes a few minutes to achieve, so it is perfect if you are running late and perfect for beginners!

All eye shadow colours used are from my Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette

The trick with this look is to blend…  and when you think you have finished blending, blend again!  The more you blend the more smokey it will look.

Start of by priming your lids –  Any primer is fine.  I used my Lorac Behind The Scenes Primer.

Then apply a natural skin colour all over your base to set your primer, I used White Chocolate.  You can even use your face powder for this!

I then use the colour Salted Caramel and blend it through my crease as my transition shade.

Grabbing the darkest brown in the palette Triple Fudge I pack this colour onto my lid but making sure not to go above the crease!  I blend this colour out with the transition shade Salted Caramel – Remember what I said before blend, blend and blend!  I then continue to reapply the darker colour until I achieve the desired colour and pigment.

I take a slightly lighter brown colour Semi Sweet and blend it below the colour Salted Caramel to make the transition not as harsh and more blended.

I then highlight my brown bone with the colour White chocolate.

To finish of the eye shadow I take the darkest brown colour on a tapered brush and apply it to my lower lash line, I then blend this out with the colour Semi Sweet to make it more smokey.

Line you lower lash line and upper waterline with any dark black pencil, I also chose to apply eyeliner on my upper lash line and do a small wing but that is personal preference!

Apply your favourtie mascara or lashes and the look is complete!

Super easy and I think it looks amazing.
